Welcome to J&A Pet Photography
Capturing pets and their people
Hello! I'm Bree!
I'm a professional pet photographer with a passion for capturing the unique personalities and special moments of our beloved animal companions.
With a background in dog behaviour and equine management, I combine technical expertise with a deep love for animals to create stunning, heartfelt images. Whether it's a playful puppy, a dignified senior cat, or any pet in between, I strive to highlight their individual character and the bond they share with their humans.
My approach to pet photography is patient and tailored to each pet's comfort and needs. I believe that the best photos come from creating a relaxed and fun environment where pets can be themselves. From candid action shots to posed portraits, I aim to deliver a diverse gallery that tells a story and preserves memories for years to come.

FAQ
01/03
What if my pet can't be off leash?
I'll let you in on a little secret, almost all of my sessions the dogs are on leash, even in the action shots I use a long line just in case. With the magic of Photoshop, the leads are edited out afterwards!
This way, your pet remains safe and we don't have to worry about limiting ourselves to off-leash only locations.
Does my pet need to be well trained?
Although it helps to have a well trained pet, it is definitely not a requirement.
I have plenty of tricks (and treats!) up my sleeve to ensure we get the best photos of your pet. I am incredibly patient and flexible, we want your pet to have as much fun at the session as possible, after all, they are the star!
My dog is reactive, can we still get photos?
The key to a reactive dog having a happy time, is ensuring we go to a quiet location. Luckily, I have plenty of spots that are very quiet, or large enough we can move out of sight. I have worked with reactive dogs and as long as you are confident in your dog and know their threshold, we can ensure they have an enjoyable outing as well.
Weekday afternoons are highly recommended for shoots as they are quieter than weekends.
Do you photograph pets other than dogs?
Absolutely! I love all animals and have photographed Dogs, Cats, Horses, Snakes and even a pet Sheep!
For smaller animals/ ones that are inside only, I recommend bringing them in to my home studio, we even have the space to get photos of you and your pet together!
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes we do! We use Humm for our convenient short and long term plans.

What if its raining on the day of our session?
For outdoor sessions, we will reschedule if its raining or there's heavy cloud cover.
I want to ensure you have the best pictures possible, and sometimes this means reshecduling for better weather and sunnier days.
Trust me, it'll all be worth it in the end for a beautiful afternoon or morning!
